The PRORING Split-Design is engineered specifically for the most critical and largest motors, generators, and turbines where traditional installation is not feasible. This high-current capable system combines our proprietary conductive technology with a precision-engineered two-piece frame, allowing for world-class protection without the need to decouple the drive or disassemble the machine.
Specifically designed for large-frame low-voltage motors (375kW and greater), medium-voltage motors, and high-power DC machines. The PRORING Split-Design is scalable to accommodate shaft diameters exceeding 400mm, providing reliable grounding for units where induced shaft voltages and bearing currents are significantly higher.


Large generators and turbines often experience current surges that cause catastrophic electrical arcing in bearings. Our Steered Charge geometry, integrated into the split frame, ensures these high-current surges are "suctioned" and channeled safely to ground via the path of least inductance.
The precision split-ring design allows for a rapid retrofit on existing equipment. By eliminating the need to remove couplings or pulleys, the PRORING Split-Design reduces maintenance windows from days to hours, ensuring the drive is protected against EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) with minimal operational interruption.

To ensure the split design maintains monolithic efficiency, we utilize a proprietary metal surface modification at the joining interfaces. This eliminates the contact resistance typically found in multi-part systems, ensuring that the high-conductivity fibers maintain a perfect electrical path to the housing at all times.
